Loungewear Is The New Daywear: Our Recommended Best Buys

Finally, normality is starting to settle back in, with shops slowly opening and groups of people being allowed to meet up in outdoor areas. There is a huge sense of hope and positivity in the air which we have not seen for a while! But with more people being out and about, can cause some nerves and anxiety about what this new way of life holds for us. It also means we can’t curl up on the sofa and have the excuse of doing nothing and wearing our pyjamas all day. Much to our disappointment, as we love a joggers day, all day, every day – in lockdown – and no one could judge us. But now, there is a new trend of loungewear on our radars, allowing us to basically wear joggers as ‘regular’ clothes and not just to slouch around in. I am not saying you cannot ‘slouch’ around in them, by all means, laze around in your joggers and enjoy it! In this article, we look at the prospects of loungewear and what affordable ‘stay at home’ fashion looks like while still being stylish.

What is your new everyday look in lockdown? Are you a comfy queen, who constantly wears joggers and hoodies or do you prefer a long flowy dress to frolic around in and pretend you are outside in some field? One thing is for sure, loungewear has taken a new purpose in everyone’s lives. There is now loungewear for every occasion and we are seeing it everywhere, advertised on every online site and all over Instagram. It is the new craze which is going above and beyond to get our attention! And it’s working!

We all have found ourselves doing excessive shopping online for new clothes, whether we need it or not. It is kind of like a coping mechanism for us, whoever said retail therapy was not real is a complete liar! So when discovering new affordable clothes, where do you start? I, myself have been sucked into this online vortex of never-ending sales and big-spending offers! Brands are practically throwing the deals at us, I am not complaining but you have to spend your money wisely.

Now summer is on our minds and we are looking for our new summer 2020 wardrobe. You may be looking for some new summer staples to get you excited for summer and your staycation, now travelling is out of the question. We suggest you hold off on the big-budget pieces which will just swallow up all your savings and instead look for staple pieces you can dress up and dress down. We are obviously praying the British sun will come out for us to get to wear all our summer buys after lockdown. But for now, we are focusing on what we can ‘chill’ in and can wear no matter what the weather.

Everyone needs their ‘chill’ time and we probably overuse that word. But it is accurate, we do love ‘chilling’ and what better way to do that than in some comfy loungewear. We love Primark’s loungewear collection which completely caters for the ‘chilling’ lovers, selling all things lounge. Catering for all sizes including plus sizes, our favourite is these beige hoodies and joggers, mix and match with there jogger shorts when you are feeling a bit more summery.
